•Purchasing functions involving coordination with suppliers or principals on pricing, product specifications, delivery, quality assurance and continuous improvements.
•To ensure all purchases are approved within mandate guidelines.
•To source locally and overseas for new products not supplied by regular suppliers or principals.
•To coordinate with logistics team, production team and suppliers to plan for deliveries in a timely manner.
•To follow-up on the daily stock level movement for forecast purchases and to monitor the in-coming materials and return activities.
•To determine negotiation strategy and negotiate with suppliers concerning price, quality and delivery conditions of goods and services.
•To build and maintain relations with suppliers as well as evaluate and optimize performance of suppliers and solve and discuss quality issues and improvements.
•Inbound & Outbound Shipping Arrangements.
•Efficient, timely and transparent communication to internal customers.
•General administration duties.
•To prepare weekly/monthly procurement analysis reports.
Requirements:
•Minimum Diploma or Degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain or Purchasing Management.
•Minimum 3 years working experience in manufacturing environment.
•Good analytical and interpersonal skills.
•Strong negotiation skills and able to work independently.
•Preferably have experience dealing with overseas suppliers, knowledge in INCOTERMS and forwarding knowledge.
•Knowledge in ISO 9001:2008 documentation and implementation added advantage.
•Strong Command in English & Mandarin, both spoken and written.
•IT literate & experience in SAP Material Management application.
•High standard of integrity and ethical practices.
•Excellent attention to detail and team work.
