Senior Architect/Sr. Software Engineer - Catch That Bus Sdn Bhd - Petaling Jaya

The candidate will be required to manage the overall integration between operators’ back end and our front end system. The candidate will also be responsible in overseeing a team of developers/software engineers and will lead product innovation focusing on deploying and scaling the platform rapidly. Along with this, you will be required to oversee mobile solutions development on the Android and iOS platform. The work will be on Java, MS SQL, Jscript and AJAX. The work requires supporting clients integrating to our solutions using cloud based applications and infrastructure.
Responsibilities:
    Act as a primary resource for developing world-class web applications written in Java.
    Understand and define business logic in Java.
    Work closely with & incorporate feedback from product management, interaction designers & core. engineers.
    Play an active role in product development including planning, leading and conceptualization.
    Document progress, schedule projects, and fix bugs.
    Interface with external engineers from client organizations to help integrate CTB products.
    Supervise application build, test, and deploy activities.
    Drive test planning and execution.
    Supervise process and functional design activities.
    Develop and test detailed functional designs for business solution components.

Qualifications:
    Bachelor / Master in Computer Science or equivalent requirement.
    Minimum 3 years experience in building on the J2EE framework and MS SQL.
    Demonstrable expertise/ experience in building consumer web applications.
    Expert understanding of Java, Jscript and XML coding skills.
    Strong understanding of webservices
    Application services – Tomcat, Jboss
    Application frameworks – Struts and Spring
    Strong command of web standards, CSS-based design, cross-browser compatibility.
    Background or experience in architecture or technical implementation work.
    Understanding of upcoming HTML5 and CSS3 standards.
    Ability to meet travel requirements, when applicable.
